Batik + Hand Embroidered Vest
This vest is handmade in collaboration with the Thai embroidery artist "Into the Vest", using Hand stitch and Mirror stitch techniques, created under the concept: “In happiness or suffering, be mindful.” It represents the spirit of the maker, the wearer, and the one who beholds it.
Materials used includes cotton canvas, cotton tide, and mirrors.
Happiness and suffering, in truth, are the same—only differing in the direction of feeling. Whatever emotional state we are in, may we remain mindful and realize that happiness is not permanent, and suffering does not last forever. Both shall fade with time. Whether in happiness or in suffering, be mindful.
