About FESTIVAL
Our colorful festival fabrics are a blend of cotton + bamboo viscose and are very breathable and cooling despite having a wonderfully soft and thick hand feel.
Comfortable and forgiving, this pre-shrunk fabric is easy care, can go in the dryer on low, and does not need to be washed super frequently.

We want you to LOVE your Color of Heat purchase--and we promise you will! If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may return new condition items at any time within 30 days.
Returns/Exchanges:
Return new condition items within 30 days of purchase. Contact us here for a return label.
To exchange an item, reach out to us here for a return label. Then just purchase the item you'd like instead from our shop and we will get it to you ASAP. Once we receive the original item back in new condition, we will refund your purchase payment.

NO HASSLE WARRANTY:
We guarantee our items against defects in materials and workmanship for a minimum of 1 year from date of purchase.
We pay for shipping both ways within the United States (lower 48). Outside the US Lower 48, you are responsible for returning the item to us. We will either repair or exchange warranty items. Anything that cannot be repaired will be recycled into our reHeat program. Contact us here to return warranty items.

Together we can break the chain of fast fashion--and create a new cycle: we make a garment; you buy it; you love it; and someday you return it to be repaired or transformed it into something else.
And, from there, a NEW cycle continues. So, if you are ever finished with a Color of Heat garment, please don't throw it away! We will actually pay you to send it back to us!

My new OBSESSION
I wandered into the Color of Heat tent at AthFest completely at random, having never heard of the brand and I didn’t own any “festival wear” which was the vibe I got from their selections. I was immediately drawn to the prints and patterns of the shorts that they had, and appreciated the unisex design…but I did have a bit of sticker shock when I saw the prices. After talking with Kat about the manufacturing process and the mission of sustainability, it all made sense, and I decided to purchase a pair in the Outer Banks pattern. Well, over a week later, I am finding it very hard to take them off and wear anything else!! I. AM. OBSESSED!!! They are so comfy and very well-made. I washed them for the first time recently and there was no shrink, no fading…these are dreamy shorts. I now want some in like every color and cut, and several other items also (I require one of those cute af fanny packs like STAT). Also, they’re local??!?!? I’m dying. I love everything about what this company is doing. Kat and her family are visionaries and their love and honor for their craft shows in the pieces they make, which are also very high quality and long lasting. I bought a pair of gently used shorts last year and have worn and washed them countless times and they have held up so perfectly (and I am not gentle on my clothes). This year I scored some more and am so excited to have these pieces in my wardrobe. They remind me of the value in mastering a craft and highlight the value of stepping away from mass consumerism and toward slow and mindful production. Color of Heat represents these values and is still leaning even more into them, and it’s a great joy to witness.
